Srinagar, Aug 19 (NVI) : J&K Police, District Ganderbal arrested Notorious Drug Peddler in the Jurisdiction of PS Ganderbal and recovered Contraband Substance from his possession.
Ganderbal Police received information through reliable sources that one person namely Omer Fayaz Bhat S/O Fayaz Ahmad Bhat R/O Shaltang, Srinagar who was working as Private Driver with SSB 03CC at Rakh Harran Forest Protection Unit Ganderbal has concealed Contraband Brown Sugar like Substance in a forest Hut at Rakh Harran with an intention to sell it to the local youth.
Acting Swiftly on the directions of SSP Ganderbal Shri Wasim Qadri-JKPS, a special Police team was constituted led by SHO PS Ganderbal Shri Manzoor Ahmad reached on the spot and during the search of the aforementioned hut, Contraband Brown Sugar like Substance was recovered and Seized in presence of Executive Magistrate 1st class & the accused was arrested.
In this regard, Case FIR No 210/2024, under relevant sections of NDPS Act stands registered at PS Ganderbal & further investigation taken up.
To eradicate Drug Menace from the society, J&K Police District Ganderbal assures general Public to eradicate the roots of Drug menace from the society & requests respectable citizens to come forward & share inputs about Drug Peddlers, so that young generation can be saved from this dreadful abuse.
