Srinagar, Aug 20 (NVI) : The Election Commission of India (ECI) has issued a notification today for the first phase of voting in 24 Assembly constituencies in Jammu and Kashmir.
The polling for these seats will be held on September 18.
In the first phase, 16 constituencies from the Kashmir division and 8 from the Jammu division will go to the polls.
The constituencies in Jammu province that will be voting include Bhaderwah, Doda, Doda West, Inderwal, Kishtwar, Padder-Nagseni, Ramban, and Banihal.
In the Kashmir division, the constituencies that will be voting are Anantnag West, Anantnag, Srigufwara-Bijbehara, Shangus-Anantnag East, Pahalgam, Pampore, Tral, Pulwama, Rajpora, Zainapora, Shopian, DH Pora, Kulgam, Devsar, Dooru, and Kokernag (ST).
This marks the beginning of the election process, which will unfold in multiple phases across the region.(News Vibes of India)
