Srinagar (NVI): In keeping up with its undaunted spirit to build a sustainable and energy-efficient India, the Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) has installed LED streetlights at Chashme Shahi Mughal gardens in Kashmir capital Srinagar, despite heavy snowfall and rough weather.
“Keeping the #EESLspirit high, our on-ground team is diligently serving the nation by keeping the essential services running despite various challenges. To ensure the safety of the citizens, we’ve installed streetlights at Chashme Shahi district in #Srinagar, J&K,” tweeted EESL, which is a joint venture by Power PSUs under the Ministry of Power.

Chashme Shahi or the Royal Spring is a Mughal Garden, which overlooks the Dal Lake and located in the Zabarwan mountain range near the Raj Bhawan in Srinagar. The garden was built around a spring, in 1632 AD, by Ali Mardan Khan who was a governor of Emperor Shah Jahan.
EESL is engaged in installing LED streetlights across the country under its Street Lighting National Programme(SLNP).
Recently, EESL’s Street Lighting National Programme (SLNP) won the prestigious Elets Awards of Digital Excellence under the Environmental Sustainability category.
