Lolab,Kupwara,September 29 (NVI) : Er Rashid, Member of Parliament from North Kashmir and AIP Supremo, was given a rousing welcome as he visited Lolab Constituency of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district. He promised tourism development and infrastructure boost for the picturesque Lolab.
In his fiery address to a massive gathering at Sever, Lolab, Er Rashid took aim at the National Conference (NC) for years of neglect and exploitation. “The NC has ruined the land of Moulana Anwar Shah Kashmiri and Allama Iqbal’s (RA) favorite place. They have betrayed the trust of the people repeatedly, showing their faces only during election time. After that, their phones are switched off and voters are not allowed near their residences,” Er Rashid said to resounding applause from the crowd.
Er Rashid laid out his vision for the development of the region, promising a range of infrastructure projects. “We will construct the Dardpora-Bandipora road, establish a mini-secretariat for Woovora block, upgrade health centers and improve irrigation facilities,” he declared.
Additionally, Er Rashid promised to construct a mini stadium at Sever, Lolab, to promote sports and youth engagement in the area. He also pledged to transform Lolab into a favorite tourist destination. “Lolab has immense potential to become one of the top tourist attractions in Kashmir, and I will ensure that its beauty is recognized and developed for tourism, which will bring economic benefits to the area,” he added.
Er Rashid didn’t shy away from criticizing the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), claiming that the party has already conceded defeat. “The PDP like NC has failed the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Their leaders have misled the voters, leaving them with crumbling roads, no drinking water facilities and inadequate health services. This is a direct reflection of how these parties have betrayed the people of Lolab,” he stated.
Thanking the people of Kashmir and specifically Lolab for their support, Er Rashid credited them for his success in Parliament, even during his imprisonment in Tihar Jail. “I am deeply thankful to the people of North Kashmir in general and Lolab in particular, for their vote and support, which made it possible for me to serve as your representative in Parliament, even from Tihar Jail,” he said.
Accompanying him were Chief Party Spokesperson Inam Un Nabi, Senior Party Leader Dr. Burhan Bazaz, and other key members of the Awami Ittihad Party (AIP), who also addressed the crowd, echoing Er Rashid’s sentiments about the failures of past governments and pledging to work tirelessly for the betterment of the region.
With the overwhelming support shown Lolab, Er Rashid’s vision for development, tourism and youth engagement appears to be resonating strongly with voters, signaling a shift in the political dynamics of Jammu & Kashmir. (News Vibes Of India)
