Jammu, Sep 24 (NVI): The search party of security forces today achieved a major success in Assar area of Doda by recovering a mobile phone of a terrorist that had a video of a civilian strangulated to death by the terrorists.
On August 13, in an encounter two Jaish-e-Muhammad terrorists and an army captain were killed in the encounter while the civilian Man Singh had gone missing. Singh’s body was recovered the woods by search teams two days ago.
Defence sources told NVI that while conducting extensive searches in the Assar area of Doda, security forces recovered a mobile phone that of a terrorist which after the scrutiny revealed the graphic images of the murder of a civilian Man Singh.
In the images, the defence sources said that the pictures show Singh being strangulated to death by three terrorists while fourth one clicking the pictures of the murder. Two terrorists of the group were killed and two managed to flee. In the gunfight, an army captain was also martyred.
They said that disfigured body of Singh was recovered on September 22 from the woods during the search operation. Singh a resident of Chakwa village was missing from Shivgarh top, Assar area.
Sources said, the experts are scrutinizing the phone and further clues about terrorist plan are likely to come to fore. The same, however will not be put in the public domain. Security forces had recovered a US made M-4 carbine and an AK 47 riffle from the two slain terrorists, besides a few rucksacks, blankets, anti-cold sheets and edibles.
Pertinently, army along with police are engaged in massive searches in Doda, Reasi, Kathua and Poonch areas after the inputs about presence of foreign terrorists in these areas—(News Vibes of India)
