New Delhi (NVI): A viral news is doing rounds on social media platforms claiming that only students who pass the CBSE pre-board exams will get the admit cards for the board examination.
Debunking the claims, the Fact Check Unit of Press Information Bureau (PIB) took to Twitter and clarified that this news is fake and the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has not made any such announcement.
The tweet in Hindi read, “Claim: In a news, it is being claimed that only the students who pass the pre board examinations will be given the admit card for the board examination.
#PIBFactCheck: This claim is fake. @cbseindia29 has not made any such announcement.”
pic.twitter.com/w7S3WWhJj4

The fake news that is widely circulated on social media platforms including WhatsApp also claims that the pre-boards will be conducted twice and students will have to clear the two tests to get the admit card for the final board exams.
According to CBSE, the board exams 2021 are all set to be conducted from May 4 for students of classes 10 and 12 and will end on June 10.
Earlier, a CBSE time-table declaring the class 12 board exam dates had gone viral.
The Press Information Bureau launched this fact-checking unit in December 2019, to identify misinformation related to government’s policies and schemes that are circulating on various social media platforms.
