New Delhi (NVI): A WhatsApp message claims that the Indian government is providing free internet services to 100 million users for three months.
Debunking the claims, the government’s Press Information Bureau (PIB) Fact Check wing said the message was fake.
It further stated that no such announcement has been made by the Government of India.
PIB took to Twitter and wrote in Hindi, “A #WhatsApp message claims that the Indian government is providing free internet to 100 million users for 3 months.
#PIBFactCheck : This claim is #fake. No such announcement has been made by the Government of India.”
