New Delhi (NVI): A Hindi newspaper has claimed that the Government is going to reopen schools from September 1 to November 14 in a phased manner.
The Fact Check Unit of the Press Information Bureau (PIB) has investigated the news and found it to be fake and misleading. It said that no such decision has been taken by the Government in wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Notably, the country is going through Unlock 3.0, under which the Centre has allowed some activities like gyms and yoga institutes but no decision has been taken regarding the reopening of schools or colleges. Similarly, cinema halls and public parks will remain closed for the time being.
