New Delhi (NVI): A video on social media is claiming that the National Recruitment Agency (NRA) has issued more than 8 lakh vacancies for direct recruitment without conducting any examination.
The Fact Check Unit of the Press Information Bureau (PIB) has investigated the claim and clarified that it is fake and the NRA has not yet released recruitment advertisement for any government post.
Debunking the fake news, PIB took to Twitter and wrote in Hindi, “Claim: It is being claimed in the video that the National Recruitment Agency has taken direct recruitment for more than 8 lakh posts without any examination.
#PIBFactCheck : This claim is fake. The National Recruitment Agency has not yet released recruitment advertisement for any government post.”

The Press Information Bureau launched this fact-checking unit in December 2019, to identify misinformation related to government’s policies and schemes that are circulating on various social media platforms.
