New Delhi (NVI): In the wake of coronavirus scare, India’s civil aviation directorate has issued a circular to airlines saying the foreigners who went to China on and after January 15 will not be allowed to enter India.
All visas issued to Chinese nationals have been suspended with an immediate effect.
“These visa restrictions will not apply to aircrew, who may be Chinese or any other foreign nationals coming from China,” said the circular of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
“Foreigners who have been to China on or after January 15, 2020, are not allowed to enter India from any air, land or seaport, including Indo-Nepal, Indo-Bhutan, Indo-Bangladesh or Indo-Myanmar land borders,” it added.
This advisory came after the outbreak of novel coronavirus has lead to 800 deaths in China.
