Rajouri, Oct 30 (NVI): A retired Jammu and Kashmir Police personnel was allegedly murdered in Rajouri district on Friday, with his brother suspected to be involved in the incident, officials said.
The deceased was identified as Sakhi Mohammad, a resident of Mohra village in Kotranka tehsil of Rajouri district.
According to preliminary information, a land dispute between the two brothers is suspected to be the motive behind the incident. However, the suspected involvement of the brother and the motive are yet to be officially established, officials said.
The incident took place in Panchayat Mohra, falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Kandi.
Police have initiated an investigation into the incident to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the death and establish the sequence of events.
