Srinagar, Sep 28 (NVI): Four people, including a nine-month-old girl, were killed after a Sumo vehicle skidded off the road and plunged into a gorge in the Semari area of Karnah in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Monday, officials said.
The accident took place at Semari, following which a rescue operation was launched, they said.
Among those killed were 32-year-old Mohd Idrees, son of Kaser Din, and his nine-month-old daughter Hamza, officials said.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and further details are awaited, they said.—(NVI)
