Srinagar, Sep 28 (NVI): The Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly witnessed noisy scenes on Monday as members debated a resolution seeking restoration of statehood to the Union Territory.
BJP legislators continued their protest during the proceedings, leading to heated exchanges between members of the ruling and opposition benches.
Amid the disruption, two BJP MLAs and two Congress legislators were marshalled out of the House as the situation intensified during the debate.
The protests and verbal exchanges took place while members were participating in the discussion on the statehood resolution.
Despite the disruptions, the Assembly continued its proceedings on the resolution.—(NVI)
