New Delhi (NVI): Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today said that Covid-19 vaccines in the State will be provided free, even at private hospitals.

Today also happens to be the Bihar Chief Minister’s birthday as he turned 70. While addressing reporters today, Kumar said the whole exercise will be facilitated by the state government.

Earlier the Central Government had announced that the government hospitals will carry out the free covid vaccines and the private hospitals can provide vaccines at Rs 250 per person.

To recall, the Bihar cabinet had in December last year approved a proposal to provide free vaccines when they are available.

The second phase of Covid vaccination drive across India started today with senior citizen (above 60 citizens) and people above 45 with co-morbidities getting inoculated.
