New Delhi: India reported a further decline in fresh Covid numbers, with 3,06,064 new cases being registered in the last 24 hours.
The government also reported 439 deaths in the same period.
Yesterday morning, the government reported 3,33,533 new cases and 525 deaths in the preceding 24 hours.
With 439 fatalities reported today, the cumulative death toll due to the two-year-old pandemic has gone up to 4,89,848.
The Union Health Ministry said today that the daily positively rate stood at 20.75 per cent.
On Saturday morning, the government reported 3,37,704 fresh Covid cases against 3,47,254 recorded a day earlier.
The country also recorded 488 deaths during the preceding 24 hours.
On Thursday last, the government reported registration of 3,17,532 fresh Covid cases and 491 fatalities in a span of 24 hours.
A day prior to that, the government reported 2,82,970 Covid cases across the country in 24 hours.
On Tuesday morning, the government reported 2,38,018 cases and 441 deaths in 24 hours.
