Srinagar, July 11 (NVI):- Jammu and Kashmir government has ordered for reconstitution of Committee to identify Foreign Nationals illegally overstaying in Jk since 2011

As per Government Order No. 304 -Home of 2024 Dated: 09.07.2024, a copy of which lies with News Vibes of India—(NVI), government stated that in supersession to the Government Order No. 494-Home of 2023 dated 13.10.2023, sanction is hereby accorded to the re-constitution of the Committee to identify foreign nationals illegally overstaying in the UT of J&K, since 01.01.2011

As per Administrative Secretary, Home Department will be chairman of the committee while Foreigners Regional Registration Officer, (FRRO) BOI, Amritsar, Punjab, Senior Superintendent of Police, CID, Special Branch, Jammu, Senior Superintendent of Police, CID, Special Branch, Srinagar, Senior Superintendent of Police, CID, Headquarters, J&K, all District SSSP/SSP (FRO) and State Coordinator, IVFRT, NIC, J&K will be members of the committee.

“Further, Senior Superintendent of Police, CID Headquarters, J&K shall also act as Nodal Officer on the subject and:Compile and prepare monthly report of missing/illegally staying foreign nationals in the UT of J&K and submit report by 5th day of every month to the Home Department, co-ordinate and follow up activities between FRRO & FROS regarding tracing and deporting of foreign nationals staying illegally in the UT of J&K, Monitor the progress achieved on the issues on the subject, in consideration, from to time to time and report to Home Department on regular basis on these issues after compiling from FROS, Disseminate, communicate and circulate information between FRRO & FROS pertaining to the various cases sub-judice on the subject in different courts and regularly monitor, update and Inform status of these cases to the concerned quarters and Nodal Officer shall also monitor capturing the biographic and biometric details of illegal migrants and report the progress achieved to the Home department after compiling from FROs and maintain up to date record digitally on regular basis, of those illegally staying in the UT of J&K.”
