Srinagar, Oct 24 (NVI) : Two porters and two army soldiers were killed in a terrorist attack on an army vehicle in Botapathri near Nagin post in the Gulmarg area of Baramulla district on Thursday evening, officials reported.
The incident occurred when terrorists targeted the army vehicle, resulting in the deaths of two soldiers and two civilian porters, while three others sustained injuries.
The injured were initially treated at Gulmarg hospital before being transferred to 92 Base Army Hospital in Srinagar.
additional reinforcements have been deployed to the area, and a large search operation has been launched to apprehend the terrorists.
Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah condemned the attack, expressing condolences to the families of the victims.
He described the incident as “very unfortunate” and said that the recent increase in attacks in Kashmir is a serious concern.
In a post on X, Abdullah stated, “I condemn this attack in the strongest possible terms and send my condolences to the loved ones of those who lost their lives. I also pray for the swift and complete recovery of the injured.”—(News Vibes of India)
