Poonch, June 16 (NVI): A head constable of the Jammu and Kashmir Armed Police (JKAP) died after allegedly falling from a building in the Behra area of Mendhar subdivision in Poonch district on Tuesday, officials said.
The deceased was identified as Head Constable Mustaq Ahmed of JKAP 6th Battalion, headquartered in Behra, Mendhar.
The incident occurred around this evening Ahmed sustained critical injuries after the fall and succumbed shortly thereafter.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated proceedings to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the death.
