New Delhi: Heavy rainfall would continue to occur in parts of East Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat over the next 5 days and in Gangetic West Bengal and Odisha till tomorrow, the IMD said today.
According to India Meteorological Department (IMD), “Fairly widespread to widespread rainfall with isolated heavy falls are likely over East Rajasthan & Gujarat Region during September 21-25 and over West Rajasthan on 21st & 22nd September.”
“Fairly widespread to widespread rainfall with isolated very heavy falls are likely over Gangetic West Bengal & Odisha on September 21; isolated heavy falls on September 22 and decrease in rainfall activity thereafter,” the IMD said.
Scattered to fairly widespread rainfall with isolated heavy falls very likely over Uttarakhand during 21st-25th and over Himachal Pradesh, Punjab & Haryana during 21st- 22nd September 2021.
It further said, “Fairly widespread to widespread rainfall with isolated heavy falls are likely over East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha & Chhattisgarh till 24th September and decrease thereafter.”
A cyclonic circulation is likely to develop over Eastcentral & adjoining Northeast Bay of Bengal around 25th September.
It is likely to move west-northwestwards and reach the Odisha coast during the subsequent 48 hours. Under its influence; a fresh spell of heavy rainfall likely over Odisha and adjoining areas from 26th September 2021, it said.
