Srinagar, Nov 07 (NVI):- Tensions flared in the legislative assembly on the fourth day of the session when Speaker Abdur Rahim Rather was compelled to adjourn proceedings for 15 minutes following a clash between legislators from Kashmir and members of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

As per NVI, the disruption was triggered by MLA Langate, Khurshid Ahmad Sheikh, who displayed a poster calling for the restoration of Article 370 and the release of political detainees.

As the session commenced, Leader of the Opposition (LoP) Sunil Sharma criticized the previous day’s resolution, labeling it unconstitutional.

During Sharma’s address, MLA Langate interrupted by unfurling a poster with demands to reinstate Article 370 and release political prisoners.

The situation quickly escalated as BJP MLAs attempted to seize the poster from MLA Langate, sparking a physical altercation with legislators from Kashmir.

In response, Speaker Rather adjourned the session for a 15-minute cooling-off period.—(News Vibes of India)
