New Delhi (NVI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi today asked Chief Ministers to come up with suggestions on combating the coronavirus pandemic, as he held a video conference with them amid speculation about extension of the lockdown period beyond April 14.
During the video conference, PM Modi was seen wearing a homemade mask. Many other Chief Minister’s were also seen wearing the mask.
“I am available 24×7, CMs can speak to me and give suggestions on COVID-19 anytime,” Modi said in the meeting.
“We all should stand together shoulder-to-shoulder in the fight against this disease,” he said.
During the interaction, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal suggested an extension of the nationwide lockdown up to April 30.
Punjab CM Amarinder Singh also suggested the extension of national lockdown.
Ahead of the meeting, senior Congress leader P Chidambaram urged CMs of the states ruled by his party to transfer cash to every poor family in the state, without any exception.
