Srinagar, Aug 08 (NVI):Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Vidhi Kumar Bhiduri Thursday said there was an open invitation of people and children of J&K for the Independence Day event on August 15.
He also said people can also visit the Balidan Stambh at Lal Chowk to recall the sacrifices of martyrs who have sacrificed their lives for the nation.
Talking to reporters after taking stock of the ongoing work at the Balidan Stambh at Pratap Park Srinagar, the Divisional Commissioner said that the Stambh will be also open for general public by August 15.
“People along with their children can come here and pay tributes to martyrs who have laid their lives for the nation,” he said.
He said that lot of people requested him for a permission to participate in the Independence Day event on August 15.
“There is no need of permission. Just carry an Identity Card and bring along your children. This is my message to people of Kashmir. They just need to be on time,” he said.(News Vibes of India)
