Srinagar, Sep 13 (NVI): Launching a scathing attack on the North Kashmir Member Parliament Er Rashid, National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah today dared the Awami Itehad Party (AIP) chief stating that “I was ready to accompany Er Rashid upto Tihar jail, will he leave the field.”
Talking to reporters at Kulgam, Omar said that he accepts the challenge thrown up by Er Rashid where he claimed if Omar will accompany him upto Tihar, he will quit the field. “Let me tell you, I will accompany him upto Tihar, will he leave the field,” Omar asked.
He said that NC-Congress pre-poll alliance is aimed at keeping BJP at bay. “The alliance has been formed to tell people that we are the two parties that are against BJP. We request voters to ensure our victory so that BJP doesn’t get power in J&K,” Omar said.
About bail to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Omar said courts are the only way out to get out of the jails. “Vote can’t bring some one out from Jail as was projected during North Kashmir parliamentary polls,” he said referring to MP Er Rashid’s release on bail.
On Er Rashid’s statement yesterday that let NC come up with a concrete road map for restoration of Article 370 restoration, Omar said: “We have covered all issues in our manifesto. From unemployment to Article 370, we have covered everything. We have also talked about Indo-Pak dialogue,” Omar said, adding that “What else were we supposed to cover in our document.” (News Vibes of India )
