New Delhi, Nov 03(NVI): The International Human Rights Organization (IHRO) and Border Security Force (BSF) organized a half marathon at Vintage Park near Wular Lake in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district, focusing on unity, health, and environmental awareness.
The marathon featured three categories: 5 km, 10 km, and 21 km, with age groups for 18-30 and 40, along with separate categories for men and women.
Ashok Yadav, IPS, Inspector General of BSF, served as the Chief Guest, joined by MLA Bandipore, Nizzamuddin Bhat. Dr. Nem Singh Premi, Chairman of IHRO, spoke on the importance of human rights and environmental protection.
Bollywood actress and IHRO Ambassador Moubano Sorcar inspired participants with her presence.
Altaf Bhat, coordinator for Kashmir IHRO, and Yaqub Dunoo, head of Tourism and IHRO Kashmir, played key roles in organizing the event.
The marathon aimed to promote fitness, unity, and environmental awareness while fostering community engagement and social responsibility.
The collaboration between IHRO and BSF contributed to the success of this initiative.
