New Delhi: India recorded 18,346 fresh COVID-19 cases and 263 fatalities in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said today.
With this increase, the total active cases now are 2,52,902 while the cumulative death toll has gone up to 4,49,260, it said.
Nearly 29,639 patients have recovered in the last 24 hrs, taking the total number of recoveries to 33,150,886.
A total of 91,54,65,826 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in the country so far, with the inoculation of over 72,51,419 beneficiaries in the last 24 hours.
The number of fresh cases reported today is less than the figure reported yesterday, when the figure was 20,799.
The death figure reported yesterday was 180.
At least, 22,842 fresh Covid cases and 244 deaths were reported from across the country the previous day.
On Saturday, the country registered 24,354 new Covid cases in 24 hours.
A day earlier, 26,727 fresh COVID-19 cases and 277 deaths were reported in 24 hours
On Thursday last, the government reported that the country had recorded 23,529 fresh COVID-19 cases and 311 deaths in 24 hours.
The previous day report said 18,870 COVID-19 cases and 378 deaths were registered in 24 hours.
