New Delhi: India recorded 22,842 fresh COVID-19 cases and 244 deaths in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said today.
With this increase, the cumulative death toll has gone up to 4,47,751.
The country’s total active caseload of Covid now stood at 2,70,557, which is the lowest in 199 days, according to the ministry.
Nearly 25,930 patients have recovered in the last 24 hrs, taking the total number of recoveries to 3,30,94,529.
A total of 90,51,75,348 COVID vaccine doses administered across the country so far, the Ministry said.
Yesterday, the country registered 24,354 new Covid cases in 24 hours.
The previous day report said 26,727 COVID-19 cases and 277 deaths were registered in 24 hours.
On Thursday, the government reported that the country had recorded 23,529 fresh COVID-19 cases and 311 deaths in the previous 24 hours.
A day earlier, 18,870 fresh COVID-19 cases and 378 deaths were reported in 24 hours.
At least, 18,795 fresh Covid cases and 179 deaths were reported from across the country the previous day.
On Monday, the country reported 26,041 fresh cases in 24 hours.
