New Delhi: India recorded 28,591 fresh COVID-19 cases and 338 deaths in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said today.
With this increase, the total active cases now are 3,84,921 while the cumulative death toll has gone up to 4,42,317, it said.
Nearly 34,848 patients have recovered in the last 24 hrs, taking the total number of recoveries to 3,24,09,345.
The country’s active cases account for 1.16% of total cases and the recovery rate is currently at 97.51%, the Ministry said.
Yesterday, the country recorded 33,376 fresh COVID-19 cases and 308 deaths in 24 hours.
The previous day report said 34,973 COVID-19 cases and 260 deaths were registered in 24 hours.
On Thursday, the country recorded 43,263 fresh COVID-19 cases and 338 deaths in 24 hours.
At least, 37,875 fresh COVID-19 cases and 369 deaths in 24 hours on Wednesday.
The country recorded 31,222 fresh COVID-19 cases and 290 deaths in 24 hours on Tuesday.
Nearly 38,948 fresh COVID-19 cases and 219 deaths were reported from across the country in 24 hours, a day earlier.
