India records 35,178 new COVID19 cases, 440 deaths

COVID-19 threatens people with heart diseases, as winter hints at a second wave

New Delhi: India recorded 35,178 fresh COVID-19 cases and 440 deaths in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said today.

With this increase, the total active cases now are 3,67,415 while the cumulative death toll has gone up to 4,32,519.

Nearly 37,169 patients have recovered in the last 24 hrs, taking the total number of recoveries to 3,14,85,923, the Health Ministry said.

Yesterday, the country recorded 25,166 Covid cases, the lowest in 154 days and 437 deaths in 24 hours.

On Monday, the country recorded 32,937 COVID-19 cases and 417 deaths in 24 hours.

On Sunday, the country recorded 35,499 COVID-19 cases and 447 deaths in 24 hours.

On Saturday last, the country recorded 38,667 COVID-19 cases and 478 deaths in 24 hours.

On Friday last, the country recorded 40,120 COVID-19 cases and 585 deaths in 24 hours.

On Thursday, the country recorded 41,195 COVID-19 cases and 490 deaths in 24 hours.
