New Delhi: India recorded 42,618 fresh COVID-19 cases and 330 deaths in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said today.
With this increase, the total active cases now are 4,05,681 while the cumulative death toll has gone up to 4,40,225, the ministry said.
Nearly 36,385 patients have recovered in the last 24 hrs, taking the total number of recoveries to 3,21,00,001.
Yesterday, the country recorded 45,352 fresh COVID-19 cases and 366 deaths in 24 hours.
The previous day report said 47,092 COVID-19 cases and 509 deaths were registered in 24 hours.
On Wednesday, the country recorded 41,965 COVID-19 cases and 460 deaths in 24 hours
Nearly 30,941 Covid cases and 350 deaths in the country in 24 hours were reported a day earlier.
The country on Monday reported 42,909 COVID-19 cases and 380 deaths in 24 hours.
At least 45,083 fresh COVID-19 cases and 460 deaths in the country recorded in 24 hours were reported on Sunday.
