New Delhi: India recorded 42,766 fresh COVID-19 cases and 308 deaths in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said today.
With this increase, the total active cases now are 4,10,048 while the cumulative death toll has gone up to 4,40,533, the ministry said.
The country’s recovery rate is now 97.42% with 38,091 recoveries in the last 24 hours. The cumulative recoveries increase to 32,138,092.
The weekly positivity rate is 2.62%, which is less than 3% for the last 72 days while the daily positivity rate is reported to be 2.45%, the Ministry said.
A total of 68.46 crore vaccine doses have been administered in the country so far, it said.
Yesterday, the country recorded 42,618 fresh COVID-19 cases and 330 deaths in 24 hours.
At least 45,352 fresh COVID-19 cases and 366 deaths were recorded in the country in 24 hours on Friday.
The previous day report said 47,092 COVID-19 cases and 509 deaths were registered in 24 hours.
On Wednesday, the country recorded 41,965 COVID-19 cases and 460 deaths in 24 hours
Nearly 30,941 Covid cases and 350 deaths in the country in 24 hours were reported a day earlier.
The country on Monday reported 42,909 COVID-19 cases and 380 deaths in 24 hours.
