New Delhi: India recorded 44,230 fresh COVID-19 cases and 555 deaths in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said today.
With this increase, the total number of active coronavirus cases in the country has gone up to 4,05,155 while the cumulative death toll has reached 4,23,217.
Nearly 42,360 patients have recovered in the last 24 hrs, taking the total number of recoveries to 3,07,43,972, the Health Ministry said.
The cumulative number of COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in the country stands at 45,60,33,754, it said.
Yesterday, the country recorded 43,509 COVID-19 cases in 24 hours.
On Wednesday, the country recorded 43,654 COVID-19 cases and 640 deaths in 24 hours.
On Tuesday, the country recorded 29,689 COVID-19 cases and 415 deaths in 24 hours.
On Monday, the country recorded 39,361 COVID-19 cases and 416 deaths in 24 hours.
On Sunday, the country recorded 39,742 COVID-19 cases and 535 deaths in 24 hours.
On Saturday last, the country recorded 39,097 COVID-19 cases and 546 deaths in 24 hours.
