India records 45,083 new COVID19 cases, 460 deaths

New Delhi: India recorded 45,083 fresh COVID-19 cases and 460 deaths in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said today.

With this increase, the total active cases now are 3,68,558 while the cumulative death toll has gone up to 4,37,830, the ministry said.

Nearly 35,840 patients have recovered in the last 24 hrs, taking the total number of recoveries to 3,18,88,642.

With this the country’s recovery rate currently is now at 97.53%, the Health Ministry said.

A total of 62,29,89,134 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in the country so far, with the inoculation of over 1 crore (1,03,35,290) beneficiaries in the last 24 hours.

Yesterday, the country recorded 46,759 COVID-19 cases and 509 deaths in 24 hours.

On Friday, the country recorded 44,658 new COVID-19 cases and 496 deaths in 24 hours.

On Thursday, the country recorded 46,164 Covid cases and 607 deaths in 24 hours.

On Wednesday, the country recorded 37,593 Covid cases and 648 deaths in 24 hours.

On Tuesday, the country recorded 25,467 COVID-19 cases and 354 deaths in 24 hours.

On Monday, the country recorded 25,072 Covid cases, the lowest in 160 days and 375 deaths in 24 hours.
