New Delhi: India recorded 50,040 new COVID19 cases and 1,258 deaths in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said today.
With this increase, the total Covid death toll has gone up to 3,95,751 while the cumulative active cases are 5,86,403.
According to the data available, nearly 57,944 patients have recovered in the last 24 hrs, taking the total number of recoveries to 2,92,51,029.
Yesterday, the country recorded 48,698 new COVID-19 cases and 1,183 deaths in the last 24 hours.
On Friday, the country registered 51,667 new COVID-19 cases and 1,329 deaths in 24 hours.
On Thursday, the country registered 54,069 fresh cases of COVID-19 and 1,321 deaths in 24 hours.
On Wednesday, the country reported 50,848 new COVID cases and 1,358 deaths in 24 hours.
On Tuesday, the country reported 42,640 Covid cases, which was the lowest in 91 days.
The single-day deaths reported on that day were 1,167.
On Monday, the country reported 53,256 new cases, the lowest single-day Covid figure in 88 days and 1422 single day deaths reported.
