India records 60,753 new COVID-19 cases, 1,647 deaths

New Delhi: India recorded 60,753 new Covid cases and 1,647 deaths in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said today.

With this increase, the total death toll in the country due to the pandemic has risen to 3,85,137 while the cumulative active cases are 7,60,019.

Nearly 97,743 patients have been discharged in the last 24 hrs, the Health Ministry said.

According to the data available, total of 27,23,88,783 vaccination doses have been administered to the people of India.

Yesterday, the country recorded 62,480 new COVID19 cases and 1,587 deaths in the last 24 hrs.

On Thursday, the country registered 67,208 new COVID-19 cases and 2,330 deaths in 24 hours.

On Wednesday, the country recorded 62,224 fresh COVID-19 cases and 2542 deaths in 24 hours.

On Tuesday, the country reported 60,471 new cases along with 2726 deaths in a span of 24 hours.

It was the lowest single-day figure in 75 days, according to the Union Health Ministry.

On Monday, the country reported 70,421 single day infections, against 80,834 recorded during the previous day.

The single-day deaths due to Covid reported on Monday were 3921.
