New Delhi: India registered 6,563 fresh Covid cases and 132 fatalities in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said today.
The country’s active cases now stand at 82,267, which is the lowest in 572 days.
The cumulative death toll across the country has reached 4,77,554, the Ministry said.
The weekly positive rate remains below 1% for the last 36 days and the daily positive rate below 2% for the last 77 days.
The country’s weekly positive rate stands at 0.60% and the daily positive rate at 0.75%, it said.
Nearly 8,077 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the cumulative tally of recovered patients to 3,41,87,017.
The vaccination figure has reached 1,37,67,20,359 across the country with inoculating 15,82,079 beneficiaries in the last 24 hours, the ministry said.
Yesterday, the country reported 7,081 fresh Covid cases and 264 fatalities in 24 hours.
During the previous 24 hours, the country reported 7,145 fresh Covid cases and 289 deaths.
The country reported 7,447 fresh Covid cases and 391 fatalities in 24 hours, a day earlier.
A day prior to that, the country reported 7,974 new cases in 24 hours.
