India records lowest Covid cases in 543 days

New Delhi: India registered 7,579 fresh Covid cases in the last 24 hours, which is the lowest single day figure in 543 days, the Union Health Ministry said today.

The country recorded 236 Covid deaths during the last 24 hours, taking the cumulative death toll to 4,66,147.

The active caseload across the country now stand at 1,13,584, which is the lowest in 536 days, the Ministry said.

Nearly 12,202 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the cumulative tally of recovered patients to 3,39,46,749.

The tally of vaccination has reached 1,17,63,73,499 with 71,92,154 people being innoculated in the last 24 hours.

Yesterday, the country reported 8,488 fresh Covid cases and 249 Covid fatalities in last 24 hours.

During the previous 24 hours, 10,488 new cases and 313 deaths were reported from across the country.

A day prior to that, 10,302 fresh COVID-19 cases and 267 fatalities were reported in 24 hours.

On Friday, the country reported 11,106 fresh Covid cases and 459 fatalities in 24 hours.

Nearly 11,919 fresh Covid cases and 470 fatalities were reported from across the country on Thursday.

The country registered 8,865 fresh Covid cases and 197 deaths in 24 hours, a day earlier.
