India records lowest single day Covid cases in 259 days

New Delhi: India registered 10,423 fresh Covid cases in the last 24 hours, which is the lowest single day figure in 259 days, the Union Health Ministry said today.

The country also recorded 443 Covid deaths during the last 24 hours, raising the cumulative death toll due to the pandemic to 4,58,880.

The total active cases across the country now stand at 1,53,776, which is the lowest in 250 days, the Ministry said.

Nearly 15,021 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recoveries to 3,36,83,581, it said.

The vaccination figure has reached 1,06,85,71,879 across the country.

The country recorded 12,514 fresh Covid cases and 251 fatalities, a day earlier.

On Sunday, the country recorded 12,830 fresh Covid cases and 446 fatalities in 24 hours.

A day prior to that, 14,313 fresh COVID-19 cases and 549 fatalities were reported in 24 hours.

The country registered 14,348 fresh Covid cases and 805 fatalities, a day earlier.

On Thursday last, around 16,156 fresh Covid cases and 733 fatalities recorded across the country in 24 hours.

During the previous 24 hours, 13,451 new cases and 585 deaths were reported from across the country.
