India records lowest single day Covid cases in 287 days

New Delhi: India registered 8,865 fresh Covid cases in the last 24 hours, which is the lowest single day figure in 287 days, the Union Health Ministry said today.

The country recorded 197 Covid deaths during the last 24 hours, taking the cumulative death toll to 4,63,852.

The total active cases across the country now stand at 1,30,793, which is the lowest in 525 days, the Ministry said.

Yesterday, the country registered 10,229 fresh Covid cases and 125 fatalities in 24 hours.

Nearly 11,971 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recoveries to 3,38,61,756, it said.

The vaccination figure has reached 1,12,97,84,045 across the country.

The country registered 11,271 fresh Covid cases and 285 fatalities in 24 hours, a day earlier.

Nearly 11,850 fresh Covid cases and 555 fatalities were registered from across the country on Saturday.

On Friday last, the government reported registration of 12,516 fresh covid cases and 501 fatalities in 24 hours.

During the previous 24 hours, 13,091 new cases and 340 deaths were reported from across the country.

A day prior to that, 11,466 fresh COVID-19 cases were reported in 24 hours.
