India records lowest single day Covid cases in 551 days

New Delhi: India registered 6,990 fresh Covid cases in the last 24 hours, which is the lowest single-day figure in 551 days, the Union Health Ministry said today.

The country recorded 190 Covid deaths during the last 24 hours, taking the cumulative death toll to 4,68,980.

The total active cases across the country now stand at 1,00,543, which is the lowest in 546 days, the Ministry said.

Around 10,116 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the cumulative tally of recovered patients to 3,40,18,299.

The vaccination figure has reached 1,23,25,02,767 across the country with inoculating 78,80,545 beneficiaries in the last 24 hours, the ministry said.

Yesterday, the country reported 8,309 fresh Covid cases and 236 fatalities in 24 hours.

Nearly 8,774 fresh Covid cases and 621 fatalities were reported from across the country on Sunday.

The country reported 8,318 fresh Covid cases and 465 deaths in 24 hours, a day earlier.

During the previous 24 hours, 10,549 new cases and 488 deaths were reported from across the country.

A day prior to that, 9,119 fresh COVID-19 cases and 396 fatalities were reported in 24 hours.

On Wednesday last, the country reported 9,283 fresh Covid cases in 24 hours.
