India records lowest single day Covid cases in 571 days

New Delhi: India registered 5,784 fresh Covid cases in the last 24 hours, which is the lowest single-day figure in 571 days, the Union Health Ministry said today.

The country recorded 252 Covid deaths during the last 24 hours, taking the cumulative death toll to 4,75,888.

The total active cases across the country now stand at 88,993, which is the lowest in 563 days, the Ministry said.

Around 7,995 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the cumulative tally of recovered patients to 3,41,38,763.

The vaccination figure has reached 1,33,88,12,577 across the country with inoculating 66,98,601 beneficiaries in the last 24 hours, the ministry said.

Yesterday, the country reported 7,350 new cases in 24 hours.

A day prior to that, 7,774 fresh COVID-19 cases and 306 fatalities were reported in 24 hours.

During the previous 24 hours, the country reported 7,992 fresh Covid cases and 393 deaths.

The country reported 8,503 fresh single-day Covid cases and 624 deaths in 24 hours, a day earlier.

On Thursday last, the country reported 9,419 fresh Covid cases and 159 fatalities in 24 hours.
