India registers 12,428 new COVID-19 cases, 356 deaths

New Delhi: India saw a slight decline in single day Covid cases, with 12,428 new cases being registered in the last 24 hours against 14,306 recorded the previous day.

The country registered 356 fatalities in the last 24 hours, taking the cumulative Covid death toll to 4,55,068, the Union Health Ministry said.

The total active cases now stand at 1,63,816 across the country, the Health Ministry said.

Nearly 15,951 patients have recovered across the country in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recoveries to 3,35,83,318.

On Sunday, the country reported 15,906 fresh cases and 561 deaths in the last 24 hours.

The country recorded 16,326 Covid cases and 666 fatalities in 24 hours, a day earlier.

During the previous 24 hours, 15,786 new cases and 231 deaths were reported from across the country.

On Thursday, the government reported 18,454 fresh cases against 14,623 recorded during the previous day.

The government on Thursday also reported 160 deaths during the previous 24 hours.
