New Delhi: A total of 15,981 new COVID cases and 166 deaths due to the pandemic were registered across India in the last 24 hours, Union Health Ministry said today.
The total active Coronavirus cases stood at 2,01,632 while the cumulative death toll has gone up to 4,51,980, according to the ministry.
Yesterday, the government said 16,862 new single-day COVID cases and 379 deaths were reported from across the country in a span of 24 hours.
On Thursday, the government reported 18,987 fresh COVID-19 cases and 246 deaths in the previous 24 hours.
On Wednesday, the country reported 15,823 COVID-19 cases and 226 deaths in 24 hours.
The country recorded 14,313 Covid infections and 181 deaths in 24 hours on Tuesday.
The country recorded 18,132 Covid cases and 193 fatalities in 24 hours, a day earlier.
Nearly 18,166 new infections cases along with 214 deaths were recorded in 24 hours on Sunday.
