New Delhi: India registered 19,406 fresh Covid cases and 49 deaths yesterday in a span of 24 hours, the government said today.
The active cases stood at 1,34,793.
The corona cases particularly recorded a rise in certain states, prompting the Union Health Ministry today to write to them to step up vaccination and three-fold strategy of Test-Track-Treat.
These states are Delhi, Kerala, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Odisha, Tamil Nadu & Telangana.
Yesterday, the government reported registration of 20,551 new Covid cases and 70 deaths during the preceding 24 hours.
On Thursday, the government reported 19,893 cases being registered along with 53 deaths in the previous last 24 hours.
A day earlier, the number of fresh cases reported was 17,135.
On Tuesday, the government reported registration of 17,135 fresh cases in preceding 24 hours.
