New Delhi: India registered 19,968 fresh Covid cases and 673 fatalities in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said today.
With this, the cumulative death toll due to the Covid pandemic has reached 5,11,903.
The active cases stand at 0.52%, taking the cumulative toll to 2,24,187.
The country’s daily positivity rate is at 1.68% and the Weekly Positivity Rate stands at 2.27%.
Nearly 48,847 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the cumulative recoveries to 4,20,86,383, the Ministry said.
Yesterday, the country registered 22,270 fresh Covid cases and 325 fatalities in 24 hours.
Nearly, 25,920 new cases were recorded across the country in 24 hours, a day earlier.
A day prior to that, the country registered 30,757 new Covid cases and 541 fatalities in 24 hours.
On Wednesday morning, the country registered 30,615 new Covid cases and 514 fatalities in 24 hours.
The country registered 27,409 fresh Covid cases and 347 fatalities during the preceding 24 hours.
