New Delhi: India registered 2,34,281 fresh Covid cases and 893 fatalities in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said today.
With this, the cumulative death toll due to the Covid pandemic has reached 4,94,091.
The active cases stood at 18,84,937 and the daily positivity rate goes up to 14.50% from 13.39%.
Nearly 3,52,784 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the cumulative recoveries to 3,87,13,494, the Ministry said.
Yesterday, the country registered 2,35,532 new Covid cases and 871 deaths in 24 hours.
A day earlier, the government reported 2,51,209 new cases and 627 deaths in the preceding 24 hours.
On Thursday morning, the country registered 2,86,384 fresh Covid cases, against 2,85,914 recorded a day earlier.
The country also recorded 573 deaths during the preceding 24 hours.
A day prior to that, the country registered 2,55,874 fresh Covid cases and 614 fatalities in 24 hours.
On Monday morning, the country registered 3,06,064 new cases and 439 deaths in 24 hours.
