New Delhi: India registered 27,409 fresh Covid cases and 347 fatalities in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said today.
With this, the cumulative death toll due to the Covid pandemic has reached 5,09,358.
The active cases stand at 0.99%, taking the cumulative toll to 4,23,127.
The country’s daily positivity rate is at 2.23% and the Weekly Positivity Rate stands at 3.63%.
Nearly 82,817 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the cumulative recoveries to 4,17,60,458, the Ministry said.
Yesterday, the country registered 34,113 new cases recorded in 24 hours.
A day earlier, the government reported 44,877 new cases and 684 deaths in the preceding 24 hours.
The country registered 50,407 new Covid cases and 804 fatalities in 24 hours on Saturday.
On Friday morning, the country registered 58,077 new Covid cases in 24 hours.
A day prior to that, the country registered 67,084 new cases against 71,365 recorded in the preceding 24 hours.
The country also recorded 1,241 fatalities during the preceding 24 hours.
