New Delhi: India registered 3,37,704 fresh Covid cases and 488 fatalities in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said today.
With an increase of 3.69% since yesterday, the Omicron cases across the country have gone up to 10,050.
The cumulative death toll due to the Covid pandemic has reached 4,88,884.
The active cases stood at 21,13,365 and the daily positivity rate is at 17.22%, the Ministry said.
Nearly 2,42,676 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the cumulative recoveries to 3,63,01,482.
Yesterday, the government reported 3,47,254 fresh cases and 703 fatalities in 24 hours.
On Thursday, the government reported registration of 3,17,532 fresh Covid cases and 491 fatalities in a span of 24 hours.
A day prior to that, the government reported 2,82,970 Covid cases across the country in 24 hours, against 2,38,018 cases recorded a day earlier.
The country also recorded 441 deaths during the previous 24 hours.
On Monday morning, the government reported 2,58,089 single day cases being registered in the last 24 hours, 13,113 less than the previous day’s figure.
The country also recorded 385 deaths during the previous 24 hours.
On Sunday morning, the government said the single-day Covid cases registered in the country during the preceding 24 hours were 2,71,202, along with 314 deaths.
