New Delhi: India registered 6,395 fresh Covid cases and 19 fatalities in the last 24 hours, Union Health Ministry said today.
With this, the cumulative death toll due to the pandemic since 2020 rose to 5,28,090.
The country’s active caseload stood at 50,342 constituting 0.11% of the total Covid cases, it said.
The recovery rate is currently at 98.7%, with 6,614 patients being recovered in the last 24 hours, the ministry said.
With this the cumulative recoveries across the country have reached 4,39,00,204, it said.
The daily positivity rate stands at 1.96% and the weekly positivity rate is at 1.88%, the Ministry said.
With the administration of 36,31,977 Covid vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, the country’s cumulative vaccination coverage has reached 214.27 crores.
Yesterday, the government reported registration of 5,379 new cases and 27 deaths during the preceding 24 hours.
