India registers 6,984 new Covid cases, 247 deaths

New Delhi: India registered 6,984 fresh Covid cases and 247 fatalities in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said today.

With this, the cumulative death toll across the country has reached 4,76,135 while the country’s active cases now stand at 87,562.

Around 8,464 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the cumulative tally of recovered patients to 3,41,46,931.

The vaccination figure has reached 1,34,61,14,483 across the country with inoculating 68,89,025 beneficiaries in the last 24 hours, the ministry said.

Yesterday, the country reported 5,784 Covid cases and 252 deaths in 24 hours.

The country reported 7,350 new cases in 24 hours on Monday.

A day prior to that, 7,774 fresh COVID-19 cases and 306 fatalities were reported in 24 hours.

During the previous 24 hours, the country reported 7,992 fresh Covid cases and 393 deaths.

The country reported 8,503 fresh single-day Covid cases and 624 deaths in 24 hours, a day earlier.
