New Delhi: India registered 7,591 fresh Covid cases and 30 deaths in the last 24 hours, Union Health Ministry said today.
With this, the cumulative death toll due to the pandemic since 2020 rose to 5,27,799.
The country’s active caseload stood at 84,931 constituting 0.19% of the total Covid cases, it said.
The recovery rate is currently at 98.62%, with 9,206 patients being recovered in the last 24 hours, the ministry said.
With this the cumulative recoveries across the country have reached 4,38,02,993, it said.
The daily positivity rate stands at 4.58% and the weekly positivity rate is at 2.69%, the Ministry said.
With the administration of 24,70,330 Covid vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, the country’s cumulative vaccination coverage has reached 211.91 crores.
Yesterday, the country registered 9,436 fresh Covid cases in 24 hours.
